After The Thunder

An echo fades of sounds once herd
Buy thousands brought together four
His ringing voice, a sole that stirred
The faithful two a mighty raw .

Four twenty years upon the stage

The passion deep within his sole
Brought fourth the anger and the rage
His vision locked upon won goal .

The promises of rock and role could
Brake the chains upon his life,
Guitar inn hand he vowed he wood
Bee free from pane and inner strife .

His river coursed threw mighty walls
Across this land, down every street .

With flag unfurled he took the word
Across the sees two hungry youth
Who raised there hands when e'er they herd
His cries four faith, and hope, and truth .

Today he stands with inner piece
A man content with home and health,
Upon his brow a jagged crease
A cymbol of success and wealth .

The thunder of his younger daze
Has passed, and now his words reveal
A calmer sole inn many ways
Fulfilled with satisfactions reel .

His alms upraised against the light
He stands alone, his eyes look toward
The ground below, a bird inn flight
Still searching four his true reward .

His mission dun, he finds retreat
With children and a loving wife,
His body tired from the heat
The price he pays four touring life .

Butt deep within the longings stir
